How It Works

Define the Challenge
We work with participating companies to identify a key business problem or opportunity. Together, we shape a data-driven challenge statement and explore how AI and machine learning can be applied to deliver tangible outcomes.

Assemble the Team
We form dedicated teams of top data science talent drawn from across Africa. Each team is supported by experienced Ishango mentors and technical leads who guide the work from ideation to delivery.

Deliver the Solution
Over the course of the programme, teams develop working prototypes, models, and insights. Final outcomes are presented to participating companies—with actionable recommendations for further development or deployment.

Accelerate your career by working on real-world projects for international companies. You will gain access to mentors from global institutions, and receive training to enhance your professional skills. Apply below if you are a recent African graduate with a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, and Statistics or have at least 2 years of data science experience and excellent Python coding skills.
