1. Please share a bit about yourself and your background.

My name is Tracy Williams, and I am from Ghana. I have a strong passion for Data Analysis, which has inspired me to pursue a career in Data Analytics. I find learning courses such as Microsoft Excel, PostgreSQL, Python, and Power BI to be particularly fascinating.

2. What did you study, and how did you first become interested in data science?

I have earned a BSc in Entrepreneurship, a Diploma in Business Management from ABE-UK, and certificates in Architectural/Interior Design. My interest in data science developed gradually, despite having no formal background or project experience in the field. It started with a curiosity about how data influences everyday decisions and drives innovation. I began reading articles and watching videos about data science, amazed by how data could reveal patterns and insights that weren’t immediately obvious. This fascination led me to explore various online courses in Microsoft Excel, PostgreSQL, Python, and Power BI. Even without practical experience, learning about these tools and their potential to transform data into meaningful information sparked a deep interest in data science, inspiring me to pursue it further.

3. What has been your experience with the DataCamp-Ishango.ai scholarship so far?

The DataCamp-Ishango.ai scholarship has been a valuable experience for me, providing access to numerous resources and courses to enhance my data analysis skills. The hands-on approach of DataCamp has simplified complex concepts, making them easier for me to understand and apply. Having completed several courses, my data analysis abilities have significantly improved, and I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity.

4. What are your learning goals, and what do you hope to achieve through the DataCamp-Ishango scholarship?

My learning goals through the DataCamp Scholarship are to deepen my proficiency in data analytics and acquire practical skills that are highly relevant in the field. I aim to master advanced techniques in data analysis, SQL, Python, and other tools offered by DataCamp. Ultimately, I aspire to leverage this knowledge to secure a job in data analytics, where I can contribute effectively and excel in solving real world challenges using data driven insights.
